Patrick Waters is a resident of Kamloops BC. In the summer of 2019 Patrick won a silver medal for Canada at the Parapan American Games. Out of the pool, Waters is a Certified Exercise Physiologist. He has worked with a wide range of athletes from beginner to elite and frequently lectures to athletes and parents in the areas of sports nutrition, and strength & conditioning. We are excited to cheer Patrick on as he pursues his dream at Tokyo 2021!

A true multisport athlete, Greg played varsity basketball for TRU earning the title of Canadian Defensive player of the year. After graduating from TRU he was a member of the Canadian men's sitting volleyball program, winning 2 bronze medals at the 2007 and 2011 Parapan American Games.

CAAWS’s Women and Leadership Program consists of a series of six professional development sessions that blend theory with practical applications, and provide an opportunity for women working or volunteering in the sport or physical activity sector to share experiences, reflect on ideas and apply specific techniques. These workshops are highly relevant for today’s young professionals and experienced leaders. The sessions also allow for networking opportunities among participants.

Physical Literacy 501: Inclusive Physical LIteracy

Hosted By: PLAY Kamloops and Sport for Life

PL 501 will help participants to understand the importance of physical literacy development for participants with disabilities. This workshop will take participants through what universally accessible programs are and how to plan and create them. It will also help participants to develop their adaptations to fundamental movement skills to allow for different disability types to participate and have a quality first involvement experience.
