This 3.5-hour dynamic and interactive introductory workshop will teach you how to prevent injuries and increase athlete performance through proven resistance training tools. After finishing this module, you will able to use resistance exercises that are appropriate to your athletes’ stage(s) of development to develop strength and be able to monitor athletes form and their training programs. **This workshop is eligible for 5.0 NCCP Pro-D credits on your Locker Transcript**


Please Note: This course is being offered in conjunction with the Pathways to Sport Excellence Conference held at the TCC annually. It is an annual one day conference for coaches, parents and athletes (ages 12-17) of all levels and abilities who are looking to better understand or improve their sport performance in the areas of coach training, strength & conditioning, sports nutrition and mental training. Coaches who take this resistance training module are invited to attend lunch and the afternoon conference workshop sessions at no additional charge. Those who attend the afternoon workshops will receive an additional 1.0 Non-NCCP Professional Development Credit on their Locker transcripts toward certification maintenance.
