Super siblings Gavin and Kristina Dodd finished atop the podium at the Trampoline Gymnastics Junior Pan American Championships in Cochabamba, Bolivia, on the weekend.

Valleyview secondary students Gavin, 14, and Kristina, 16, represented the Kamloops Gymnastics and Trampoline Centre and claimed gold for Team Canada in double-mini trampoline.

“I’m really happy with how I performed throughout the championship,” Kristina said. “I came into the competition feeling really confident about my passes and my routines and I don’t think I could have done anything else. Heading into nationals next month, I’ll be working on landings and sticking my passes.”

Gavin and Kristina will be in action at the Canadian Championships in Trampoline Gymnastics, which will run from July 4 to July 8 in Lethbridge.

“I was really happy with my performance this weekend,” Gavin said. “I was able to do all my passes the way I wanted to and I was able to improve on what I’ve done before with these passes.”
