The Kamloops Sunrays Synchronized Swim Club brought home hardware from the regional and provincial championships.

Synchro BC’s National Stream Provincial Championships were held in Surrey from Feb. 9 to Feb. 11, with the Kamloops Sunrays earning silver medals in the National AG 13-15 Team event and Senior Solo event, along with bronze in the Senior Solo Tech Routine.

The National Stream Regional Championships were held in Coquitlam from Dec. 8 to Dec. 10., 2017, where Charlotte Ribalkin earned first place in the Senior Solo Tech. Karina Aujla, Nadia Curtis, Keira Fawcett, Kate Liebe, Rosie Fraser-Bowden and Neveah Manuel-Hearn also earned first place in the AG 13-15 National Team event.

Coach Tina Naveri joined the Sunrays last September to head up the National Stream Program.

Next up, the Sunrays will attend the Synchro Canada Qualifiers in Calgary from March 19 to March 25 where they will compete for the first time in six years in the team and solo events.
