FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

July 30th, 2018

Kamloops, BC - Operation Red Nose Campaign coming this November 2018 will see a familiar face to take the reins from previous Coordinator Katie Klassen who has dedicated 9 years to the campaign.

Shanon Guglielmini first volunteered as a Coordinator for ORN in 2003 in Nanaimo. After moving back home to Kamloops she worked the 2004 and 2005 Campaigns. She will once again put on a red nose for the holiday season in Kamloops. Guglielmini is excited to be back connecting with all the volunteers and local businesses that make ORN a huge success in our community. PacificSport Interior BC Executive Director and Founder of the local ORN Campaign, Carolynn Boomer states, “We have become one of the most established and successful ORN cities across Canada, with this being our 22nd year of local operation and that is tribute to our wonderful partners, sponsors, volunteers, Coordinators and Committee Members.”

While growing up in Kamloops, Guglielmini was a high performance athlete with the Kamloops Sunrays Synchro Club and received support from PacificSport as an athlete. She then attended National Coaching Certification Program courses through PacificSport and became a coach with the local Club.  She still steps out on the pool deck to help out from time to time. “It’s full circle now, as all the funds raised from Operation Red Nose go to support local high performance athletes who are affiliated with PacificSport and I feel very blessed to have been a recipient,” says Guglielmini.

Klassen will continue her full time position with PacificSport as the Sport Participation Coordinator and both Klassen and Boomer will remain on the Steering Committee as PacificSport is the Host Organization for Operation Red Nose.

To reach Guglielmini for any sponsorship, volunteering opportunities or other queries please contact her at 250 320-0650 or kamloops@operationrednose.com  or through the PacificSport office at 250 828-3344.
